 The
SM Science Discovery Center (SMSDC) is the first Technology-Based,
Highly Interactive Science Learning theme park in the country,
housed in a 3000 square meter, two-level facility in the
SM Mall of Asia Complex, Pasay City.
SM SDC is devoted to providing the public
- kids and adults alike- entertainment, fun, and most of
all, a highly interactive way to learn and appreciate Science
and Technology.

SM SDC boasts of nine walk-through galleries, namely
the Life Clock- a two-level
kinetic Time-Capsule;
As a two-level futuristic structure, it allows
guests to know what’s happening inside the
SM Science Discovery Center via four large graphic
panels, where interesting factoids also pop up from
time to time. The second level features The Time
Capsule-a computer console that lets guests send
e-mail messages to the future.

- celebrating green screen-technology;
ImagePort focuses on all things
that deal with the lens-from manual to digital cameras
capturing the latest gadgets and the future of digital
imaging. Guests will have the opportunity to play
and have their pictures taken-and even pose by a green
screen to tinker with digital backgrounds. Best of
all, guests can save these images as souvenirs! |

Media City - boasts of
the latest in PC and Virtual games and software;
Guests will experience the best and
latest in software and trends in digital information
and computer graphics. The gallery houses these hands-on
computer kiosks (each with 6 computer terminals and
LCD screens on top) for guests to experience interactive
learning and entertainment. Play inside the dynamic,
virtual environments of Gesturetek, where players
can interact with and move around the 3D virtual worlds
with simple body movements. |

Transportation Nation
- showcasing new technologies in various modes of
transporations, which also houses three cockpits for
simulation of flight;
Be amazed with the driver-less concept
car. As you give Transportation Nation a quick tour,
they, in turn, give you a tour inside the engines
that will drive tomorrow’s vehicles. Given the
globe’s current environmental situation, this
gallery focuses on gentle alternatives to fossil fuel
that can make our cars run at maximum efficiency without
compromising the earth’s fragile condition. |

Grossology - a traveling
exhibit which celebrates the reality of Natural Science:
how the body works;
Grossology gives you the perfect
excuse for grossness-education! They bring you a new
and interesting approach to the science of the human
body. Besides entertaining features that reveal how
burping happens ("Burp Man") and how the
kidneys work ("Urine: the Game"), Grossology
also offers games involving educational Q-and-A’s
about grossness and identifying different bodily odors. |
